Welcome to the Central Control page of

Water Management Specialists.

Water Management Specialists has been involved in "Central Control" since 1995.  Their involvement in central control ranges from the product development of a Central Control system, consulting, specifications, operations, audits, and project management of sites with various brands and types of central control.  They are familiar with and have worked with every major brand of Central Control product on the market.

There are many different manufactures that produce quality "Central Control" packages and programs.  Water Management Specialist is a consulting group not a manufacturer or sales rep for any of the manufacturers.    We have worked with most, if not all of the products that are currently available.  The equipment and software that our clients have drive some our services.  We have "Central Control Specialists" that have been to the "Factories" and have had more intense "Factory" training and knowledge on specific products.

The following services are offered to the up-scale residential, commercial, institutional, city government:

bullet

Needs analysis - WMS can provide an in depth "needs analysis" of the parameters required to make an intelligent decision on the establishing of a central control program.  This process will identify the needs-vs.- wants, and will help the client focus in on the key issues of water conservation of which central control will have a positive impact with.

bullet

Site assessment - WMS will work with the client in providing a realistic and feasible site assessment of their existing irrigation system.  From this assessment,  a realistic approach can be developed as well as expectations can be identified.  This information will allow the best use of resources to repair, replace, or maintain the irrigation system.  This process will also assist in identifying what features of a central control the client would gain the most from

bullet

Specifications - WMS will assist in the development of site specific specifications for a central control system.  This will include which type of system is best suited for the client and there specific applications.  This decision is based on many different factors, as there is no "one size or type fits all."

bullet

Communications assessment - WMS will work with the client to determine the most optimum use of the many types of communications available in central control.  The decision to use radio, hardwire, telephonic, wireless, or internet based communications is based on site conditions, expectations, operator skill, money, product selection, expandability, security, and existing equipment.

bullet

Central Control software set-up- The majority of all central control systems require an in-depth software set up.  The flexibility and the over-all performance of these central control systems is dependant on the accurate initial set up.  WMS can provide the data necessary to input the initial set up and then fine tune the system as the central control system is brought on line.

bullet

Auditing, data gathering, and data input- WMS has the knowledge and skills to perform all types of water audits.  They utilize their own proprietary software in the development of key data necessary to operate a central control product.  They can provide initial site training to a client, so the client can perform many of the labor intensive data collections with their own employees.  This is a major cost savings to the client.  WMS will then compile the raw data that the client has gathered , assimilate it, and download the data into the central control software.

bullet

Central Control Monitoring and back-up monitoring- WMS can provide any level of computerization monitoring the client may wish to employ.  This can range from complete remote site monitoring to "back stop" monitoring for a client.  This "back stop" would provide the client with a specific time line of monitoring to over see the central control operations, or simply to cover for a client while there operational personnel are on vacation, out sick, or are being replaced.

bullet

Project Management- WMS can provide a total project management to any level of the central control process, or can perform a singular management event.  They can provide all the personnel necessary or can provide the key personal and training, so the clients employees can be utilized, thus gaining a major savings in labor costs.

bullet

Training- WMS can provide any level of training to the central control process.  This can range from the operations side of the software to the data collection level of the audit.  The training can be done for key employees or to the entire operational staff.

bullet

Limited Installations - WMS can work with the client in performing the actual installations of a central control system hardware.  This can range from installing the wiring, pouring the pads, hanging the controllers, wiring in flow sensors and master valves, retro-fitting existing systems, and boring obstacles.

WMS works with professional irrigation installation companies to provide installations of Central Control in varies cities across the state.

WMS now has a TCEQ approved central control class for 8 hours of CEU credit.

TCEQ approval code 1177
