Welcome to the Web Site of Water Management Specialists! As our name says, we are Water Management Specialists! We manage this precious commodity called water by providing quality irrigation design, consulting, and training . Our main office is in central Texas near Moody, Texas with a branch office in Houston, Texas. We provide these services to the Landscape Irrigation, Landscape Architectural, Grounds Maintenance, and Drainage industry. We are an "authorized" TCEQ provider for Basic Irrigation Training for state licensure and CEU training. In addition we provide Continuing Education training to Landscape Architects. (Irrigation in Texas is regulated by the Texas state agency called the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) Please come in to our web site and make yourself at home. Current news and updates...... Hurricane Ike Our thoughts and prayers go out to those fellow irrigators and families that have been effected by hurricane "Ike". As we are all in the water business we have a better understanding on just how much damage can be done by water. We have a CEU program designed to help out those irrigators in the impacted area with their CEU's. Please click on this link, "Hurricane Ike" for more information TCEQ Changes There have been many changes to the irrigators' licensing program. There are two new jobs that have been created in the irrigation industry. They are a "Irrigation Inspector" and a "Irrigation Technician". WMS Changes We are changing our training format to adjust and provide a better service to the irrigators in the Texas market place. We are modifying some of our classes to address the changes brought on by the rule changes as well as to address the many new issues these rule changes will bring out via intended or un-intended consequences. Water Conservation Workshops for End Users Beginning this fall, WMS will provide monthly workshops and seminars to the end users of commercial and institutional properties. These will focus on steps and management practices that can be done on site to reduce the amount of water consumed on their properties. WMS Design Software The most recent version of the WMS design software will be released on September 29, 2008. It has been totally re-done with many new features added. It complies with all of the new TCEQ rule changes. It has been greatly expanded and will meet or exceed many of the challenges irrigators will face when complying with the new required permitting process.
